Dr. Efi Sarakinou  graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki  School of Medicine and began her surgical training at the "G. Gennimatas" hospital. She continued her specialty in Great Britain where she completed her training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She was trained in burns management at Pinderfields hospital burns unit, Wakefield, hand extremity surgery and reconstructive plastic surgery at Lister hospital, Stevenage and Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel.

She gained extensive experience in cosmetic plastic surgery and reconstructive breast surgery during her work at the Chelsea and Westminster hospital, London. Her research was about  the use of growth factors in tissue regeneration and holds a Master in Surgical Science and Plastic Surgery from UCL. She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) and the European Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS). Results of her work have been presented at Greek and foreign medical conferences and have been published in international plastic surgery journals.  

Her main interests include facial and breast aesthetics and breast reconstruction after mastectomy. She participates in Greek and international conferences and attends courses and her main concern is the continuous information and education on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery with the aim of the services she provides to her patients always to be  customized, safe and modern.

She is professionally active in the private sector in Athens with private practice in Glifada where she collaborates with Mediterraneo Hospital and Metropolitan Hospital and in Corfu with a private practice in the city of Corfu where she collaborates with the General Clinic of Corfu "Al. Mastoras".
