Cellulite is a problem that concerns all women often, regardless of age, and thickness. The etiology is multifactorial, certainly hormonal, very often hereditary and burdened by poor diet, lack of exercise, smoking and other factors.

It has varying degrees of severity and often occurs in men as well. In the superficial subcutaneous fat, fat cells increase in volume, constricting arteries, veins and lymph vessels with accompanying circulatory failure that slows metabolism and causes tissue retention and edema (swelling).

Gradually, a fibrosis of the subcutaneous layer of the skin begins and the fat cells are pushed to the surface, while the septums of the skin pull the epidermis down resulting in an “orange peel” appearance.

The Endermologie method is a set of actions that take place in the connective tissue (deep mainly skin) with the aim of increasing and rearranging collagen fibers in the skin, improving circulation and mechanical stimulation of fat cells resulting in lipolysis.

The Cellu M6Keymodule, is the machine that allows the practical application of the Endermologie treatment in order to reconstruct and redesign the silhouette by addressing local fat accumulation and eliminating cellulite. Cellu M6 Keymodule is recognized all over the world. In the USA it has been approved by the FDA as the only recognized effective method for the treatment of cellulite. During the treatment, there is mechanical stimulation of the fat cells, increase in blood flow and lymphatic and venous drainage of the skin, reconstruction of collagen fibers and skin diaphragms.

Results: Cellulite improvement, Local slimming, Water retention fight, Lymphedema treatment, Silhouette improvement.

Method:

The treatment is non-invasive, very pleasant for the patient and is done in the doctor’s office. Depending on the problems presented by the body, from 10 to 24 sessions are needed (2-3 per week). Each session lasts 45 minutes and the patient wears a special bodywear. After the end of the treatments, a maintenance program with 1 session every 15 days is recommended to maintain the result. A special tightening program is applied to specific areas that show sagging, such as the inner surface of the thighs or the arms. In our practice, depending on the problem presented by each patient, complementary treatments for cellulite and local fat may be recommended, such as injectable mesotherapy with lipolytic and anti-cellulite agents as well as superficial cellulite and tightening treatments. Epidermal laxity in specific areas such as the inner surface of thighs and arms is treated with firming and moisturizing injections containing products such as Hyaluronic acid, the magic moisturizing molecule, flavonoids and DMAE which are firmness regulators. They are very often combined with idebenone and coenzyme Q10 which are well known for their anti-aging effect by limiting and neutralizing free oxygen radicals which are the ones that actually cause cell aging. The combination of all these restores moisture to the skin and better tone.

Results:

The results are impressive on the silhouette and if the treatment is combined with good nutrition and exercise, it literally changes the body, eliminating local fat, sagging and cellulite. The Endermologie treatment very effectively treats the retention that occurs in menopausal women and helps control weight during this difficult period in a woman’s life when the lack of estrogen changes the distribution of fat and water in her body.

The Endermologie method is applied in our office often postoperatively to our patients who have undergone liposuction, abdominoplasty, etc. initially for faster recovery in terms of swelling and bruising and also later in improving scarring.

Our goal is the greatest possible improvement of local thickness and the disappearance of cellulite, the formation of a harmonious silhouette, a woman who feels proud of her body.

Other indications:

In addition to aesthetics, the Endermologie treatment is therapeutically applied for wound healing in scars and burns, in venous stasis and in injuries. The Endermologie method significantly helps in dealing with lymphedema of the upper limb after mastectomy. The treatment protocol includes 10 daily LPG sessions to be applied in the 1st month after mastectomy. It is indicated in all patients undergoing axillary lymph node dissection and must be performed in the immediate postoperative period before lymphatic fibrosis occurs due to chronic lymphatic stasis. Edema of the upper limb is a frequent complication of lymph node cleansing in the armpit and unfortunately it has been a problem for many women for years. The Endermologie method is the only one that has been proven through clinical studies to reduce swelling of the upper limb.
