Hyaluronic acid has been used very often in the last 15 years to fill facial lines and wrinkles, mainly in the area around the mouth and in the nasolabial folds.

It also serves to give volume to the lips either to make them more well-defined and full or to restore the volume they lose with age.

Placing hyaluronic acid on the lips also results in a great improvement in smoker’s wrinkles. It is used with very good results to restore the lack of volume in the area of the cheekbones that occurs with age and gives the face a tired look.

The placement of concentrated hyaluronic acid in the area lifts the face, improves the gap under the eyes and on the sides of the nose and gives a younger appearance. It lasts up to 2 years after its placement.

Hyaluronic acid is a material produced artificially in the laboratory, it is not of animal origin so it does not cause allergies. It is a component of our body, it is normally found between the cells and holds them tightly together giving tight elastic skin.

Unfortunately, with age and the influence of the environment, hyaluronic acid decreases, resulting in the appearance of lines, wrinkles and sagging of the face. Application: Usually after the application of anesthetic cream or especially for the area of the mouth local anesthesia, the “filling” is done where necessary.

The result is visible immediately upon application, but it takes 15-20 days to set.

Slight swelling or redness in the area may be observed, which subsides in 24-48 hours. Depending on how extensive the problem is and especially in relation to how deep the wrinkles are, hyaluronic acid lasts from 6 to 18 months. It usually needs to be repeated every 12 to 24 months depending on the problem and the age of the patient.
